I just found this hymn written on the occasion of the occasion of the recent Asian tsunami. It is set to Bach's "Passion Chorale." Although we need to learn that lamentation is an appropriate response of faith, this hymn does not do it for me.

This must be the first time that I've heard the words, "Sewage is washed down river," in a hymn.
That being said, there are a number of hymns of Carolyn Winfrey Gillette that I enjoy--including some settings of biblical passages and the Apostles Creed.
